Established in 1954, the Weaverville-Douglas City Recreation District was formed to provide a means of building and maintaining a swimming pool. We manage Lowden Park Pool. The WDC Parks and Recreation District has grown since that time to include additional recreation projects and management of Lee Fong Park. Current Parks & Rec programs include Flag Football and Basketball. They also provide feeder support for surrounding area schools and private sporting teams and events.

Larger park with more amenities. Homeless camps on the exterior perimeter, although it looks like there's been some efforts to clean up. The stream that runs next to the park is littered with trash, but the park itself was fairly clean.
Lowden Park looked great deep grass to hide Easter eggs for the children. Warm weather helped the attendance of all.
It could use a kiddy play area besides that it's great. Nice camping ares and kitchen is good size. Lots to do all around.
