Mr. Weaver opened his business on Anderson Street and six years later, in 1956, moved the business to its present location.The funeral home is currently in its 119th year of operation. Weaver Funeral Home occupies the old Caldwell home built in the late 1800's. My Family has used this Funeral service for the past 40 years. But things have changed. No heart and soul. My brother passed away two weeks ago and it was horrible. The visit for family before cremation was horrific. His body was in a medical room or so we were told but what we saw was a body in a prep room with fly tape hanging from the ceiling and cabinet doors open, used make up on the counter top along with instruments of some sort.
