So many vegan choices. – Wayward cafe recently moved and is now located in what I have determined to be "little vegan" right by Pizza Pi and Sidecar in the U district. What a great addition. The menu is extensive and has a wide variety of choices which is something vegans are not used to and can be easily overwhelming. Everything just sounds so good. Worth seeking out – I love Wayward, and it is *so* worth the effort to go out of your way. They offer biscuits and gravy to die for, addictive sandwiches, and like 7 different and creative scrambles. Awesome find, *barely* off the beaten path (one block off Roosevelt, now how hard was that?).
Lunch! – I spent a day wandering around Seattle, and decided to try and find the Wayward cafe. Ok. This place is not the easiest spot to find. It's on the corner of a residential area. The food is greasy. All vegan. I had a TLT (Tempeh Lettuce and Tomato) sandwich and it was very good. It's probably not worth the effort to go out of your way, but it's a good little vegan lunch if you're around the U-district.
A place to bring your parents to. – Even my picky-eater dad loves this place. The sandwhiches are great, and the waitstaff are friendly. Awesome.
Great Community Hangout – This was a comfortable place to spend an afternoon. Plenty of reading material, relaxed atmosphere, kids, punks, secondhand furniture. Their biscuits'n'gravy were delicious; their cookies were gooey, hardly baked, but in a good way!
