I was transferred to Waypoint from Brockville Psychiatric Hospital, where I was ‘wrongfully’ there for over ten years because of a lying and incompetent Dr. Ahmed. I was in a self-defence fight where the aggressor said he was going to ‘slice me up with a knife’ and other present and future threats; he also charged at me repeatedly and assaulted me. My brother and my son has went to waypoint hosp qnd they are locked in a ward with nothing to do but walk up qnd down the hallway literally more depressing than if you qlready were admitted into waypoint with a depressive episode .. no activity except a privilege to go sit outside in among the trees with zero things to do how can that help anybody living with a mental health condition??? Family member was in the SWING unit. New admissions are subjected to loss of stimulation, no clock, no music no phone seclusion to their room. Without a way to orient herself to time of day family member became confused.
