I hired Wayne's Tree Service to remove two large hardwood trees which were dying and both threatening utility lines and posed a threat to falling on the roof of our home. While Wayne's isn't the cheapest option out there, they are certainly among the most experienced (50+ years) professionals and have all of the right gear (see pictures).
