He is a good doctor. I've been seeing him for 5 years. But unfortunately, his and his staff PR are questionable. On my last appointment, he and his staff failed to inform me that when he moved his Metuchen practice to Hackensack Medical, he failed to let me know he would be out-of-network. I learned it when I received a bill - which I had never received before. I find that I deserved the courtesy of being informed about this and decide if I wanted to continue seeing him out-of-network, but no transparency what-so-ever. Too b... read more

Dr. Steinbach is a very efficient professional doctor. His staff is kind and hard working. I've been a patient for close to 30 years & im very happy with the staff & the Dr.

I wish I could leave less then a star. Worst OBGYN I have ever experienced. He did not aquire informed consent for every step of physical exam. IE touched my breast's without getting verbal consent. Inserted his fingers without verbal consent. Did not warn me before touching me. I informed him before my exam I have medical trauma and intense pelvic pain. Best Doctor! I had to take my mom for Pap smear test. All it took about 10 min. Doctor later call me in this office and told everything is good. I should get the report within week.

I have been seeing Dr. Steinbeck for almost 25 years and I will be sad once he decides to retire. I always feel heard and love the staff. If I call, I receive a call back and will continue to see him until he does retire. I would highly recommend him!
