Emergency dept is understaffed, undereducated, rude, dismissive and filthy.
Security there is so rude
Hands down the worst ER I have ever been to. They were unprofessional from reception to the PA. No nurse has ever had trouble finding a vein, not this one, took her 4 jabs to butcher me. They were poorly knowledgeable, the PA told me that she has discharged people with BP over 160+ when mine as a hypertension patient was 140/100 and she was discharging me. Don’t waste your time go to a better hospital in Scranton.
Have been to this hospital several times as well as my family and we've received good care. Yes there are times when there may be a wait knowing & understanding there are emergent situations occurring in which we are not privileged to, however it is definitely worth it when you receive care from the very courteous, knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend Wayne Memorial Hospital.
