Dr Johnson did my bi lateral carpal tunnel surgeries almost 13 yrs ago now and I’m still doing pretty well, other then the skin pulling around the scar. His staff back then was amazing as was he. Always made sure I knew exactly what was going on and why. He also listened to me which was a big deal. I had just given birth so he understood the importance of my surgery being a success as well as my recovery and rehabilitation process. This isn’t fair to Dr. Johnson because I never got to see him this time. I made an appt getting a staff member who barely spoke English who told me I would be treated like a new patient since I hadn’t seen him in A while. Four days later my appointment was cancelled because he’s not taking new patients. Being told you’ve never seen him before vs you haven’t seen him in a while, makes me glad I had other options.
POS. Condescending, won't listen to patient. Rude to family members. Doesn't consider history of condition. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
I highly suggest finding a different doctor. Extremely unprofessional. He's more concerned with listening to himself talk than actually treating patients.
I was referred to Dr Wayne Johnson through the VA for a grade 1 slap tear in my shoulder, he referred me to physical therapy, i tried it for 2 weeks and wasn't able to complete one full session due to the pain. I went back to my follow-up appointment with Dr Johnson and he kept pushing physical therapy and injections on me after I refused, he told me he won't do surgery on me because I needed only physical therapy and injections while not even making eye contact with me.
