UPDATE (10/1/24): According to a notice on the front door, the Wayland Square Diner permanently closed on 9/30 due to failed lease negotiations. Pour out a cuppa joe for them... I have been wanting to come here for years, but my schedule hasn't really aligned with their hours until recently. Four of us came here on a Friday around 12:30 pm for brunch. The food was EXCELLENT! Used to go here all the time when I lived on the Eastside. Sad is closed.
Delicious food, great service! They had outdoor seating. They offer standard breakfast food, eggs, pancakes, omelettes, sandwiches… one of the best home fries, excellent coffee! Could not ask for more! Street parking but easy to find a spot. Recommended!
Greasy toasts, tasteless home fries,omelet was ok, long waiting for coffee refil, long waiting for check out , long waiting to get my change.
