We were referred to Dr. Somma by my son’s preschool teacher after he was tested and found to have a few speech issues. She addressed each sound with him carefully but efficiently- we only spent a few months working on a few difficult sounds. We then returned to her when he was struggling with a few sounds that hadn’t resolved with age. She again tackled each one in with a variety of fantastic strategies that quickly helped. Dr. Christine Somma is undeniably the best! She worked with my daughter from December 2023 to November 2025, and we’ve seen a substantial improvement in her articulation and vocabulary. I can’t begin to say how much Dr. Soma had helped my husband Joe. He had had a couple mini strokes as well as Glioblastoma a type of aggressive brain cancer. This brain tumor also caused him to have aphasia (where you can’t get the words out properly that you want to say). She had made tremendous progress with him in the last year as she saw him weekly.
