Brutally dishonest. Protect yourself
Horrendous company to get insurance through. I had 10 years with them and they cancelled my coverage while I was away at work, out of the cell service area, over a $80 billing error. They didn’t leave a voicemail or even send an email to inform me. Just a call and paper mail that I couldn’t even receive. They claimed it was due to none payment. Purchased a tennant insurance policy, never received paperwork or payment schedule but they started taking payments out of my account randomly. Then when I canceled my policy due to this shady behavior they took more money out of my account, stating they sent a cancellation notice (which I never received as well) with a withdrawal date from my bank. -10/10, do not recommend.
Save your money and sanity, go with any other insurer out there. Been with Wawanesa since I started driving and my vehicle was totalled by another driver’s loose load this October. Wawanesa lied and said I would not be covered, even though under their definition of comprehensive I legally was. I had to fight tooth and nail for my claim to be approved while they ghosted me during the process. I would never recommend them after being a loyal customer and their treatment of me during a tough time.
Kayla and wawanesa are absolute garbage. They love taking your money every month but when something goes wrong, they weasel their way out of giving coverage.
