Absolute scam, I asked if I had collision damage which I thought I did when I wrote off my vehicle. They spent 5 minutes on the phone telling me I didn't and they wouldn't pay for anything. They then proceeded to call it a claim and demanded I pay 120$ to have it removed. It's outright extortion, they paid 0$ and covered nothing and it was never explained to me that I didn't have collision protection when I got my insurance yet somehow they pay 0$ leaving me to pay the entire 20,000$ in loses and yet they still call it a cla... read more
Garbage company. Have been a customer for yrs to watch premiums increase consistently. Recently have a had a garage theft and they are demanding receipts or pictures for items simple home owner items and contents from gun safe that I have owned for yrs. Not to mention the potential dropping of vehicle coverage for 3 claims in last few yrs(1 run off lease road and into the bush, 1 wildlife strike at 1130pm(which labeled me as high risk for driving at 1130pm) and a hit and run in a parking lot that my broker at Western Financi... read more

I have been with Wawanesa since I bought my first car on my 16th birthday, and that was long ago. At one point, I was going to switch to a work sponsored company with savings. While in the process, our home was broken into just before christmas, Wawanesa went way above what I would have ever expected to get us comfortable before the holiday. Been with them for a year now. All was good Intel I wanted to get a better rate because the price was $300 more got a new quote and then lost paperwork that I had given them a year ago now I need to get this information to them before they will more forward. Not very well organized company so just be careful.
