I thought that there would be an advantage to sticking with Wawanesa for insurance but I was dead wrong. I have never made a claim in 40 years and the house I’m trying to get insurance has total security system monitored by Telus. After providing Western Financial with filled out forms and all the info on the place, they said they said it would cost too much to replace. This is not a castle, just a slightly higher end house. TERRIBLE communication. Crickets for two weeks while my home was unliveable; just to finally call to let me know I’m SOL, gotta love that fine print and loop holes. No problem taking my money on time every month though.

I've had my home insured through Wawanesa for many years in B.C. with no claims and now we're moving to Edmonton and I'm shocked reading the reviews of Wawanesa's handling of auto claims.
