I honestly can’t say enough good things about Dr. Kevin Andrus and his team. Like most people, I’d heard all the horror stories about root canals, so I walked in expecting the worst. Instead, I felt one tiny pinch at the very beginning to numb the area, and after that… absolutely nothing. No pain at all. About 40 minutes later, he was finished. My husband complained of tooth pain for a week; got him into our Encinitas dentist on Thurs. 10am. She referred my husband to North County Endodontics. When I called them on Thurs. at 11am, they said we should head right over for a consultation. Dr. Andrus saw him, quickly determined a root canal was needed. Appt. made for next day Fri. Dr Andrus and his assistant Chloe came in last minute on a Saturday to take care of me. I was so grateful! They were professional and kind and made the experience a good one. No wonder they are so well respected in the community!
If you’re looking for the best root canal specialist, you have found him. I’m an endodontist myself and should know a master at his craft when I see it. I have known Dr Andrus since dental school and had no hesitation to fly in from Texas to get my work done with the man. I needed both a root canal and a retreatment root canal. Dr Kev got me done with both teeth in a little over an hour! Efficient and completely pain free. Would fly back in a second if I ever needed any more endo work!!
It’s hard to believe that I’m writing a rave review for an endodontist but Dr Andrus is the freaking man! Tooth was in crazy pain and he was willing to help after hours. On top of that he just seemed like a really cool dude that happens to do root canals for a living. He was fast, professional, and precise. Easy to see why he has such a great reputation. Hopefully you don’t have to ever get a root canal, but if you do I wouldn’t go to anyone besides Dr Andrus.
