Great food but prices are rising I love the food at the wave. It has always been known for a great, affordable, family restaurant. However, the new ownership seems to have started catering to a new crowd and increasing prices. While they have made many changes lately which make the Wave a more fun place to socialize and enjoy a meal, their prices have gone up, their menu has changed, and their service has slowed down. I recently waited for an hour before getting an order of fried food and was rather disappointed but will kee... read more

Not good at all – I went to this restaurant with my husband and ordered a stuffie. When it was brought to the table, along with it was a foul odor (combination of Fancy Feast & wet, dirty socks...it was bad). I took the top shell off and figured I'd give it a chance. That's when I found a 3" long piece of hair cooked inside. I yanked it out and scraped away at anything I thought it may have touched, held my nose and saturated the quohog in lemon. I bit down on 3 pieces of shell before sending it back and telling my waitress ... read more

Exceptional – I recently visited The Wave with some friends and we enjoyed it very much. Since the new owners have taken over I can't believe how inviting the bar area has become. New windows, new tv's and new paint make a huge difference. The service and food were both outstanding and I would highly recommend The Wave to anyone. You won't be dissapointed!!!!

Under new management – We recently arrived for a late lunch and cocktails. The whole place was under renovations so we sat to eat at the bar. The new flatscreen TVs were so loud we could barely hear each other. We asked the barmaid 3x to please lower them but she kept forgetting. Our drinks took a few minuites to get (3 draft beers, 1 martini and one rum & coke) so I asked for menus. A few other people came in and their drink orders were taken. Again we asked for menus when we got our drinks. Then we started to notice there ... read more

Family restaurant's affordable, all-hours fare has been a Buzzards Bay institution for decades. – In Short A relic from a bygone era, The Wave's nondescript dining room packs in area families for affordable seafood dinners and pizzas. The lounge area is the social hub of the surrounding community. Yachting murals, brass lanterns and an aquarium combine to yield a nautical atmosphere. Befitting nearby New Bedford's Portuguese roots, the restaurant's linguica-onion pizza is a crowd favorite. Dinner entrees run the gamut from I... read more

Great But could you get any slower – Slow as can be. Great food and very slow cooked and tasty but it took forever. The pizza was good but what would you think of a mostly snobby town like Marion. Marion is not all snobby though. Terrible service is the bottom line
