My Dad suffered a stroke this afternoon. The EMT’s thought be was DRUNK. And when I got all worried one of the EMT’s had a smirk on his face like I was over exaggerating and said “We’re taking care of him he’ll be fine”. I will never forget how soul crushing that was to see my loved one taken as a joke while he is in SERIOUS condition.
I fell at work and was unsure how severe were my injuries. My workmates and boss immediately called Waunakee EMS. The crew arrived quickly, evaluated me, scraped me up, and transported me to UW Hospital East. The care I received and the kindness of my rescuers was unparalleled! Thank you all for the work you do!
