ive purchased many items over the years from Tom and the staff here-quality, price and service beat any "mall store" hands down. If they dont have it they have a full fabricating staff in house. If you go anywhere else, you will get too little and pay too much!!
I would give 10stars if I could. I recently inherited several items of family pieces and Tom was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He helped me understand exactly what I had and provided appraisals for several items so I can insure them correctly. You can’t find this type of care and attention often these days. This family run business is a GEM. I will not be using any other jeweler - I’m a client for life !!
Beautifully done, reasonable repair work on a ring. Honest, family owned business. Just genuine people which is so hard to find. An incredibly beautiful selection of jewelry and estate pieces. Worth the drive.
I drove from Charlottesville to have these folks build an engagement ring for me. I was blown away. Since I knew my girlfriend didn't care much for diamonds, I purchased a black opal and brought it to Watkins with Ideas. They spent an hour with me drawing out ideas and brainstorming with me. Since she likes big rings, I got a big stone and Watkins did the rest. I don't need to say more, look at the pic My now-fiance loved the ring and also she said YES!
If you are in need of a jewelry repair or appraisal, or are searching for the special piece for a birthday or to pop the question this is a great place to go. The store is family run and has earned the areas trust as a quality jeweler. If you need an appraisal I would recommend that you call ahead to schedule appointment.
