Expensive ($60 for 2 hours per single kayak) but otherwise lovely spot to kayak in and around the estuary where the Russian River meets the ocean. The abundance of bird and marine life makes it extra special, there are seals everywhere, as well as egrets, blue herons and ospreys. The folks running this place are nice, knowledgeable and offer real tips on how to make the most of your time. One of the bonuses of kayaking here is that you can access the north end of goat rock beach that is otherwise inaccessible on foot.
Keith was friendly and knowledgeable and a great representative for this small town business. He offered many tips and demonstrations to make us comfortable when we were on the water. We noticed the pride and care for the way he handled the equipment too. Visited with him several times during our trip and he always greeted me with a great attitude and even more local insight. Our kayak experience was amazing largely to the information and confidence Keith provided us with!
Great place to rent kayaks in a convenient location. Be sure to grab a sandwich and coffee from either the cafe or general store nearby.
$100 for a double canoe. On a beautiful sunny day. Life jacket and clothing provided. Service is a little raw but real.
Great place to rent kayaks. We had a great 2hr experience on the Russian River. Staff were very friendly, helpful, and got us on the water quickly.
