Hugo got me hooked!! I did the introductory beginners Blacksmithing course, made a hook and was impressed & inspired. I will be back for more. The venue & the instruction were welcoming, generous & authoritive. I give Waterside Metal Art my highest recommendation. 🤗
Tried the introductory class and had an amazing time learning the basics of forging. Hugo is a really great teacher and definitely made it a fun experience. Would definitely try another class.
An unforgettable and warming experience! I recently completed the Level 1 beginner’s course and was instantly captivated. Steve and Hugo guided us through a perfect blend of theory, hands-on practice, weaved with laughter, and great music. Harry, the resident dog and unofficial mascot, added a warm and welcoming vibe to the space. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Maribyrnong River, it’s an inspiring place to work with steel and ignite creativity.
I attended the excellent 'Colour on Steel' class run by Steve and Hugo on 24 August. Back in 'form 2' at Maryborough Tech I had a go at enamelling a copper ashtray and have always wanted to have another go. This class didnt disappoint. Both Steve and Hugo ran through the process, ensured everyone was safe, shared their stories and helped each of us deliver two pieces we could be proud of. A wonderful experience with Steve guiding us throughout the whole process. I'd highly recommend this course. I want to go again and try something else at the Waterside metal art foundry.
