Stayed at Waters Edge The Strand and had a great time. The location is perfect, right on The Strand which is pretty much where everything happens in Townsville. The room was spacious and comfortable. They even had the air con running before we arrived so it was already cool when we walked in, which was such a nice touch. We didn’t book a sea view room but still ended up with a view of the water anyway, so that was a pleasant surprise. Overall really happy with the stay and would definitely stay here again.
Great location right on the Strand, walking distance to plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants and just across the road from the beach. And the staff are super friendly and go out of their way to make for a perfect holiday.
The staff, service, and location are difficult to find an equal in the area!!! I'll definitely book here again!
The air-conditioning rattled all night. No staff to ask about fixing it as they finished at midday on the Saturday. I have never known of a hotel with such short reception hours. Never known a hotel that you have to clear your own rubbish from the room, if you don't they will charge you. The rules were printed on a sheet of paper in the wardrobe. As were the fire evacuation directions. These should be placed on the back of the room door. Not stuck to a shelf in the wardrobe. We only found them because we got the extra pillow... read more
The staff were friendly warm and welcoming. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Great view. Gated parking. Would definitely stay again
