Took a chance and booked with Water's Edge for kayak tour to see the Manatees. Best decision ever. Scotty was great and very experienced. He also let us be free, while staying close by and keeping an eye out for our safety. As a frequent traveler and adventurer. I fully enjoyed this experience. It was me, my 23 year old daughter and my aunt and uncle who is in his 70's. We were never rushed and felt at ease. We saw lots of mantees and snorkeled with them! Definitely book this tour guide.
I cannot rave about Scotty enough! I have no doubt that his company is the best on Crystal River, because he and his partner went above and beyond to help me...and I wasn't even on his current tour. Scotty saw my friends and I searching the water for my phone that I had dropped while taking impossibly cute videos of a baby manatee. He told us to wait where we were, that he was going to finish his tour, have his partner bring him his snorkel gear, and he would help us search. I had an amazing experience with Wateredge! I rented kayaks from them in Crystal River and, even though it was technically out of season, I was lucky enough to see manatees up close — an unforgettable experience. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, making the rental process smooth and stress-free.
