Cockroaches everywhere! Shortly after checking in, we discovered a terrible infestation of roaches where we killed 15 or more In the first couple hours. After pulling out the sofa bed, we found what appeared to be bed bug remnants. We called customer service and after lots of time spent talking to them they informed us someone would contact us in the morning. Our vacation to FWB was wonderful. We stayed at Water’s Edge 302 and it was great. Note that it is on the west side of the building with a limited gulf view. The partial view is from the master bedroom and balcony. The condo itself is comfortable and includes what you need for a home away from home. The unit is super convenient to the elevator and the trash chute. The unit includes a chair set up - and unlike Destin beaches - you can set up extra chairs and/or tents where you choose to sit. Upon arrival, we found hair in the refrigerator and bathrooms, not too big of a deal we cleaned it ourselves. Then we found blood stained sheets on the bed. Housekeeping changed those sheets and the bunk bed sheets the next day. In the morning, we went to cook breakfast and found a cock roach in the pots and pans cabinet. We reported this to customer service and no one addressed the issue, passing it off as “it looks like a beetle.” We did our best to stay out of the condo as much as possible due to the conditions of it. Checked in and the until was not cleaned. Dirty sheets still on the bed and dirty towels on the floor. We called the owners multiple times with no answer. What a great way to start a vacation after driving all day.
Do not rent 103 unless you like a constant stream of people walking across your patio. No way to sit and enjoy the patio at all. Then you have people dumping cooler water off the balconies above you among other things being littered. Too bad because the condo is lovely but I didn’t come to the beach to sit in a condo.
