Galway Hooker's I have lived in the area for three weeks. My wife and I have been to the Galway three times. It is a great place to go for a drink as it is really an authentic Irish bar and reminds me of Ireland. We have had snacks before that were O.K. but last Friday night my wife ordered grouper and chips. They were great. The portion was large and it seemed to be fresh? Fun times! This is where I met my husband! Its such a great atmosphere, wonderful bar tenders, good food and fun entertainment. A huge TV for the games and a nice little stage area for local bands to play. They also have a place upstairs for comedy.

I can assure you the pub has some of the best food at Lake Norman and caters many banquets and corporate events due to the quality of food, service, and facility. Reasonable ambience - lousy food! Being from the United Kingdom I'm on the look out for somewhere that I can experience that taste of Britain. A friend had heard about this new Irish Pub and had recommended it to me, especiall as they knew it served Fish and Chips -- something that every Brit away from his homeland craves.
