I would give them zero stars if possible. They cancelled my reservation day of and all of the other hotels in the area were booked up! Totally screwed me. Then took my money and didn’t refund it so I could find another hotel
Another classic property taken over by Patels. Rude and apathetic staff unwilling to correct their errors should make anyone think twice about staying here. There are bus stops in Gary that are more welcoming. To be fair the bus stops and the waterbird both smell the same so the bus stop wins by the smallest of margins
The 3 photos I posted were all taken from my balcony. Every room has a balcony with a lake view. It’s really beautiful.
This hotel was adequate. The bed was very comfortable & the view was nice. Our toilet never did flush well. There’s no breakfast, which I didn’t notice until after I made reservations. Also, the lobby is closed from 11pm-8am. We were hoping to get on the road early, but had to wait for the lobby to open & the employee was 10 minutes late. If we come back to the area; I’d shop around & compare prices a little more, but I wouldn’t be opposed to staying here again
Really earns an extra star for the price. Expect Super 8 quality. Nice view from the rooms overlooking a lake. Service is really good.
