Upon arriving at the restaurant we never got a hello from the hostess. I stated we have a reserv...was not even allowed to finish the sentence before she rudely asked "name" I was so taken back I had to stuttered my last name. She walked away looked in the dining room and then pointed to us to follow. She threw down the menus and walked away. Stopped for quick lunch before an also quick bit of kayak paddling. Was pretty crowded. Wouldn't mind eating here again but for my taste the crab cake needed more seasonings. Points for little filler. Bland coleslaw. EXCEPTIONAL fries. Scallops IMO could use more sear. Disconcertingly the chocolate caramel cake was unevenly warm and melted in spots so think it was frozen and microwaved for serving. Overall it was fine albeit pricey like a lot of Chesapeake places. Amazing food, especially crab cakes and fries. Service was great and waitress was very kind. Expect a wait, but not an exhausting one. Great place to meet.
Quaint place right along the bay.
