They destroyed a beautiful park to build this trendy but overrated bar and a few other eateries. Between the railroad tracks a few feet away and the close proximity of Reagan National Airport, it's loud and hard to talk with others.
Water Bar is one of my favorite local restaurants and the best place to enjoy on a sunny summer day! If you're a wine person, the Bordeaux Blanc is always my go-to to enjoy. Maria is almost always my waitress and I'm always happy to have her! Is you are looking for drinks and views this is your place
Wouldn't recommend if you have children who are picky eaters. We came in for dinner and upon receiving the menu asked if they had a kids menu, was told no. Looking over the menu we noticed there was nothing on there our 5 year old would eat, so my husband went to the pizzeria downstairs and grabbed her a slice to bring to our table upstairs (as we've done before at other establishments close in range that almost share an outdoor atmosphere). Had a great experience at the Water Bar. Diamond provided excellent service, was friendly, attentive, and made great drinks. She helped create a welcoming atmosphere, and I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!
