Your staff needs to learn to communicate effectively. We thought we were there for a consult. My husband has extreme anxiety with Drs visits. He was horrified that the dr wanted him to jump up on the table for the banding procedure immediately. He had never even heard of this type of proceudre before. Also the Dr could use a refresher course in patient care. Loved how he told me woman do not experience pelvic pain. Then he goes on to mansplain my internal organs. Dr. Tamura works well with others. He explains everything and is focused on one’s total health picture not only his part in it.
Incompetent doesn't really adequately describe Wataru Tamura. He's extremely nice and sounds very reasonable. But if you have IBD don't go to this guy. He doesn't follow standard science (says biologics cause cancer or aren't proven to be safe enough for a mild case like mine), told me that any other doctor would put me on biologics, and then sent me on my way. Claimed I was in remission based on lab tests and said we should check back in a year. I didn't trust him so I went elsewhere and they did another colonoscopy because... read more
Dr. Tamura performed multiple diagnostic tests on me and both procedures went very well. I will echo what other patients have said on here about him making an effort to get to know You personally. He does that for sure. Dr. Tamura is a genuinely kind man and a great GI doctor. I highly recommend seeing him if you’re having GI issues.
