Watanut pecan shortbread cookies are terrible. The texture isn’t bad, but there’s hardly any pecans in them. I mean like specks of nuts. The minimum amount possible. And the almond extract flavor they add overpowers any taste of pecan. I was surprised by the strong taste of almond in these pecan cookies. Unbelievable.
If I could leave zero stars I would. I have placed 3 mail orders to Watanut. Only one has arrived without further intervention. For the other two they created a UPS label and did NOT give UPS the package until days later and ONLY after I contacted them and pointed out their failure. But they surely took my money right away. This last one I ordered on Nov 12th, thinking that was surely enough time for it to arrive by the 21st. This was an easy choice for speaker gifts for a conference! Showing hometown pride, beautiful presentation, and a keepsake for the recipient. Very easy pickup as well!
