Negatives: Outside looks kinda spooky, the plates and cups are mismatched the inside is lacking a bit of pep. Positives: What wonderful food and friendly people! I love getting my noodles and they are the ONLY sushi place in town that will have the more adventurous eating (eel/ octopus).
Friendly service but didn't make up for the lack of quality food. California rolls were used with old extremely fishy crab, tomato on salad was rancid and mealy, chicken tasted bizarre. The shrimp and vegetable tempora was quite delicious. However, not the experience I was hoping for. If ur just stopping thru to visit, check out another place first before coming here.
A Japanese restaurant in Bozeman, Montana? Yes! – Probably the friendly owner/chef, who formerly ran a restaurant in Kumamoto, Japan---until the lure of the cowboy lured him to immigrate to Montana---is a star attraction. The food is delicious and the service is always excellent, too.
My girlfriend and I went here to have a late lunch, and tried the Philadelphia rolls, the rainbow rolls, the California rolls, and the udon noodle soup, with some tempura mango ice cream and some green tea ice cream for dessert. All of the fish was amazingly fresh, and I think my girlfriend was getting a little jealous of the food, and how much pleasure it was giving me... Authentic Japanese food, second best sushi in town (Jadras is 1), delicious meat dishes and miso soup is the best in town. Strange location on west main in a strip mall. A must try before you give up on ethnic food in Bozeman
