Visited Watami for dinner with family and a hair was present in my dish, seemingly embedded into the food and present when it was brought to our table. I was very disappointed when I raised this to the attention of the staff; immediately, I was met with resistance and the staff pointed at me saying it was my hair. There was no attempt to rectify this from the staff and we left after paying the bill. Disappointing especially considering we’ve had pleasant experiences here in the past.

The seafood bowl is the best raw seafood you can get in KW. The sushi rolls are fun and creative but different from what you’ll get at other places. It’s a bit pricey.

I used to really like this place. But now I feel quite disappointed. I ordered the salmon carpaccio, and the salmon was cut way too thick, so it barely picked up any of the sauce and tasted pretty bland. The texture was also strange, it wasn’t smooth or buttery, didn’t seem to have much flavor. Consider the price, I really expected better. It was so much better several years ago.

We had a great time at Watami. The sushi was delicious. Amazing service from Jackie. Will definitely be back.

My wife and I came to have a good night and good food but we ended up feeling bad for the trainee because her trainer was humiliating her in front of tables. She was shouting at her. Our server on the other hand was lovely. Will definitely come back but hope they do better trainings for staff.
