SERIOUSLY STAY AWAY!! These guys only care about money. They will make you take a million tests and follow up appointments to make you spend more and more money. Dr. Varma was very rude and non-empathetic when I wanted a no show fee ($75) removed due to a personal emergency. This is just a terrible way to maintain business with patients over the long term. The other doctor I had an appointment with was fired (so it seems like their staff overall is untrained and disorganized).

I’ve been a patient at Washington Internal Medicine in Chantilly for over 2 years, and unfortunately, my experience has been really disappointing. I will say, though, the doctor is truly amazing—he’s attentive, knowledgeable, and compassionate. It’s really just the management and the administrative side that need a lot of improvement. Awful experience. I have serious concerns about how my privacy and my family’s records were handled, including what I believe may have been a HIPAA-related issue. I was blown off about a chronic issue I was told was “nothing.” After switching providers, I learned that concern was connected to a life-changing autoimmune disease, and I’m now seeing a specialist.

Awful. Broke HIPPA. Terrible front desk staff. Was blown off about a chronic issue that I was told was “nothing”. Switched providers, after one appointment, that “nothing” was an indication of a life changing autoimmune disease and now I’m seeing a specialist for it. If you ask to speak to an office manager they will claim they don’t have one. Lost my husband’s sleep study results and didn’t even try to look for them. Just said, well you have contact the company we use and have a new one done. They just want your money and h... read more

My records incorrectly show me as a smoker with asthma — both are completely wrong. I have never smoked in my life and I do not have asthma. I emailed them for an explanation and an apology 10 days ago and still have not received any response. Very disappointing.
