The owner is extremely inflexible if you want to use your own contractor for the home foundation, and try to force you to use his. I'm not going to call it a racket, but it sure feels like it. His contractor Rich specifically was like pulling teeth to deal with. Lazy and terrible at communication. We paid $1000 for engineered drawings which were never finished because they made mistakes with the first set. Thank God we never signed any purchase agreements. Honestly I got to say I am extremely disappointed. They never came back after one year like the contract said they would to fix the drywall cracks. Half the doors do not close properly, going after them legally should be my next move to remedy this but I find it’s probably not worth the trouble and they probably think the same so they do not fulfill with their contracts.
