Formed in 1939, Washington Electric Cooperative serves over 10,000 members, mostly residential consumers, in 41 towns in north-central Vermont and in counties of Washington, Orange, Caledonia and Orleans. If I could give this zero stars or even negative stars, I would. Washington Electric Coop is the most undependable electricity provider in the state of Vermont and quite possibly, the worst in the entire country. Its barely better than having no electric service at all and we had to spend thousands of dollars on a generator in order to make sure our house is heated in the winter and our well has electricity in order to pump water.
