My experience with Dr. Scharfenberger is this. I needed to get follow up mammograms and I contacted his medical staff to get the referral. They told me it was not time for a test. I had to go through all my papers and find the statement for the exam and practically beg them to listen to me. I finally went to MLK in NYC and needed a biopsy for a suspicious nodule. Dr. Schfenberger, himself, is simply wonderful! However I cannot say the same for his receptionist, Michele! Today I had a situation. I happened to be in the area of the office which is 35 minutes from our home. My husband asked me to pick up a prescription for some blood work that needed to be done & for which he called & requested by leaving a message that morning. My husband and I both have Dr. Scharfenberger as our primary care doctor. He has saved our lives over the last twenty years many times. He has always sent us to some of the best specialists when necessary, and he listens to your feedback of those doctors. We feel fortunate that we found him.
Dr Scharfenberger is one of the most knowledgeable Doctors I have ever met. His is compassionate and I have recommended him to many people in Orange County. Hands on to a very experienced and caring Doctor.
Sorry Doctor, have had many troubles with prescription transfer.
