I dont know how they get away with it...lack of competition I suppose. I live in Wimberley, TX. Each month my water bill is higher than my electric bill! That's right over $100 a month. I called Aqua Texas to see if there was some sort of mistake or if I had a leak. They told me know that they're a private company and said that my monthly water bill is $92 before water usage fees are calculated in...this is because of assorted fees and taxes.
