The experience of going into A&E for urgent help was traumatic, I was in A&E for nearly 20 hours and that doesnt include waiting over an hour and a half being held in an ambulance as there was no space on the corridor. Key information like medications and health conditions etc were given by me to paramedics. I am incredibly grateful for the life-saving care I received. On March 11, 2025, I arrived at SDEC with a high fever and severe abdominal pain, feeling terrified. The nurses were so compassionate, and when the surgeon came to see me, he explained that I was quite ill and needed an emergency appendectomy. I want to express my heartfelt thanks to that surgeon for saving my life. The communication from Warrington Hospital A&E hub is appalling. Never get through to anyone to find out what has happened to a person admitted. By far the worst hospital I have had the displeasure to deal with.

Extremely busy A&E and have to wait for several hours to be seen with a nurse . Staffs are very busy all the time and often tired. Appreciate what they do and hope the hospital extends and employs more staffs for too many patients. Finding different parts of hospital is difficult and car park is kind of small ,busy and not free even to a&e users
