We hired and paid Jay $15k for a full crawlspace encapsulation before selling a home, and his work didn’t hold up under two inspections. Issues included incomplete sealing of the vapor barrier (not fully sealed to walls/columns and not installed under ductwork), vents not properly sealed, ductwork sitting on the ground with water in it, moisture still present, and microbial growth on the framing. Don’t waste your money here. I paid $10k for crawlspace wall and joist repair, sump pump install, and new vapor barrier. Jay and I agreed to a contract, then amended the contract, but he didn’t tell his workers- so when they showed up and started putting down a 6mm vapor barrier after Jay and I had agreed to make it a 12mm, they had to take it all back and get the correct parts. Jay does good work. Our courtyard patio is a major lifestyle improvement to our home. We’re currently waiting to hear from him about a warranty repair that has been forthcoming about.
