really wanted to love it, but we had a disappointing experience with amanda at aqua mi. it was over ~8 weeks of trying to work with her to get scheduled, and was just a lot of back and forth and her moving the times around, giving our spot to another child etc. she did end up scheduling us (after I continually followed up w her) on a day we told her didn’t work, and she basically said too bad you can’t reschedule… she was unorganized and on top of all of that was aggressive and rude. also hard on the kids. she has a motto of... read more
My daughter was seven when we started lessons with aqua mi. Unfortunately, she was a bit behind with her swimming skills. When we first started, she couldn’t float and didn’t like getting her face underwater. I only point that out because six months later, I have an amazing swimmer! She now knows how to float, freestyle, jump in the deep end, swim underwater, and breathe correctly underwater without needing to plug her nose. Amanda has taught multiple of my kids how to swim. She runs her business with her heart and the desire to make all kids water safe. We have been to other swim lessons where the cancellation policy was that you got a family pass instead of a make up session. Amanda offers vacation trades and rescheduling if spots are available. Amanda has rarely ever cancelled our lessons, which is rare for a place that serves so many kids.
