Chair mat started cracking after 7 months. He denied the warranty claiming: 1. I used the mat on domestic carpet with underlay, underlay is not permitted. I pointed to the manufacturer's documentation which specifically permits underlay. 2. He then claimed that since I placed a 2mm layer of foam under the mat and his website doesn't explicitly allow this, therefore the manufacturer's warranty is void. He is now harrassing my employer. Buyer beware.
