Update as of 3/6/26: So far, our experience in this home has been extremely disappointing. From the beginning, the condition of the house has been unacceptable. When we moved in, we discovered that underneath the refrigerator and the washer and dryer (all provided by the builder) was absolutely filthy. The quality of craftsmanship and attention to detail truly stand out. The builder made the entire process smooth and stress-free, and the sense of community here is already amazing. I would never recommend anyone to build with Oakwood homes after our experience with them. Our home is not even 4 years old, we have already had multiple very expensive repairs come up that are not covered by any sort of warranty. First, our AC went out after only 3 years in the home, and the repairman told us the house had a very cheap piping system from a brand that is under multiple lawsuits for being faulty. We've had sooo many issues with our house. The builders didn't install the roof correct in year 1 so disaster control had to fix all of the soaking, moldy drywall. Now, this week, we had a sewage leak because of a crack in the main sewage pipe. Luckily my father in law fixed it or else it would have been a catastrophe. Not to mention the floor already bows and the carpet is scrunching up in areas. This house isn't even three years old!! They just build these way too fast with no attention to detail.
