After being a patient in hospice for 7mths, I no longer met the Medicare criteria and was discharged after a hard fought battle with symptoms of my rare disease. The hospice company made a plan for my after care with Dr. Milner. She was my last prescribing physician with Elara Hospice in Topeka. The follow-up plan was written, I made an appointment, she prescribed my oxygen after discharge & I was to call Dr. Milner's nurse when my first refills were due in about 2wks. Injured my ribs in a home accident and my Dr was out sick so they put me with a Dr Web. All he did was poke at my ribs and told me to wear lidocaine patches. I had to request an xray and something more for the pain. I wasn't able to keep anything that I ate or drank down. I ended up in the ER. They did a CT scan and found that not only were the muscles ripped from my ribs but that my stomach was bruised and there is a thickening spot. This is something he should have done.
