While returning home from a 3000 mile road trip with our fifth-wheel we heard a thump and saw something black fly by the passenger side window. I pulled over to check for a problem but didn't see anything obvious, no weird noises, and the truck was running okay. It was 20 miles to Kit Carson so we decided to check more thoroughly there (closer to civilization).
