I am in my 50s and had a traumatic injury from a simple fall. I instead of amputation the surgeons did a wonderful job at Riverside Hospital Newport News, VA. After an extended stay in the main hospital I was transferred to Walter Reed Convalescent and Rehab facilities for Rehab and step down care. Let me tell you, I felt like royalty! Everything was perfect from the cleanliness, custodian care of the facility to the kitchen! And the food was very good, sometimes too good and I'm picky, so this says a lot. The activities team is phenomenal. Julie, Jennifer, and Edith make sure the activities are easy to understand, fun, and creative. They all care so much about the residents and will go out of their way for them. And if a resident needs to talk, Julie always makes time for them no matter how busy she might be. Residents are always first in her book.
