I have a great experience with this agency. My counselor has always made me feel comfortable and accepted. She has tips for dealing with any life stresses that come up without pushing me. My sessions feel like I'm talking to a trusted friend.
My counselor through Walsh Counseling has been amazing. She makes me comfortable to talk about tough things. She’s also helped me to with my anxiety and depression by giving me tools to help myself. Even when I don’t use the tools given, she never makes me feel bad about it.
My 1st time trying counseling was a mess. It was a home visit with a different company. The counselor told me I couldn't be in her home because of my perfume. It might bother her other clients but no signs were posted. So I leave & file a complaint. Years and years go by. I don't know what kind of therapist has you write a letter and essentially has you pour your emotions and heart out to them. Asks you through multiple sessions "do you even want to heal?" Litterally offers ZERO self help or coping mechanisms. Makes you feel judged, ridiculed and crjtisized with little to no empathy, compassion or knowledge of complex PTSD or of what therapy even is supposed to look like . Have had a lovely experience with this place. They got me with a therapist that matched what I needed in a timely manner. The ladies at the office are also very accommodating to rescheduling my session if urgent.
