Cut your losses now and skip vision center: would not accept my insurance and when I said its ok ill pay cash they said they will give me 1 year prescription, citing policy (typical being 5 years). Obviously this is to make sure you get new glasses yearly. This vision center is just their cash cow: you arent their customer, you're just in the way of getting your money.
Staff is very knowledgeable & friendly but, the "standard" lenses that came with my new frames are very low quality. They are made of plastic, not glass, and have a thin "prescription lens coating" which rubbed off in a couple months by simply cleaning the lenses (with the proper cleaning solution & cloth), rendering the glasses useless. I learned after, there is a "premium" lens (made of glass) I could have bought at the start for additional cost. No one told me this when I first bought them 11 months ago. Janel was absolutely amazing. She really got to know me and my husband. She offered us many options and she is so knowledgeable. I felt no pressure to purchase, but we are happy we did. I was hesitant to come to Walmart, but the prices and frame selection was great. My husband and I purchased 2 pairs each. We will be back and look forward to working with Janel again. She was top notch.
I had a very frustrating year after always having great experiences here. They tried multiple times to try and adjust my glasses after delivery to me last year. Months of going back. Only to find out at this year's optometrist appointment at Eye Associates in Venice the mechanical dimension taken between eyes was found to be off substantially in the glasses supplied by Walmart Vision.
