I currently have no insurance so thought I'd give Walmart a try. I had an outstanding experience. Prices are reasonable and upfront, about $100 for the exam. The doctor is very thorough and the staff are knowledgeable. The doctor took his time and double checked everything. The optical staff wasn't pushy at all. The first thing they did was see if I qualified for any discounts, going down a list of various organizations until they found one. Then I was shown the $9 frames, and given a couple of suggestions.
