NIHB isn’t only applicable on weekdays or when it’s convenient. My husband was denied by the pharmacist today for NIHB coverage of a product that should be covered by NIHB and has been in the past. The pharmacist said they can only process NIHB on weekdays when there are 2 pharmacists, and that NIHB doesn’t make them any money. We aren’t arguing that these issues exist with NIHB, but it’s discriminatory to allow them to impact a patient’s care.
