After reading some of the reviews for the Walmart Pharmacy and store on Centerville Road in Wilmington, Delaware, I almost wasn't going to go there. However, I did and I was pleasantly surprised. Every inter-action I had with sales associates and the pharmacists was pleasant and professional. One of my prescriptions was missing the tablet strength and the doctor had to be contacted. 2 of the 3 prescriptions were filled relatively quickly in spite of long lines at the pharmacy. Mere words cannot express how much I despise the Walmart Pharmacy in Gloucester, VA. The vast majority of the employees are rude and don't even know how to say "thank you" at the end of your transaction much less even smile. I can be in a wonderful mood and by the time I leave there I am pissed. They do not post changes in hours for holidays on the actual pharmacy sign or on the phone when you call so you waste your time driving all the way over there. They need to change the website! It says on web page, opens at 8. But they don't open until 9.
I recently had cataract surgery and my doctor recommended going to Walmart vision center because Medicare would cover my expense of corrective eye glasses. I picked out a pair of frames and then had a seat to discuss the type of lenses I needed. I had my prescription with me and they said they would fax to my doctor for his signature before they could send the package to Medicare for approval. That was almost four weeks ago. Trudy Simmons I live out of town (as do many other country folk) so when Walmart Pharmacy-White House Tn takes my written prescription and asked me to wait while she checked to make sure they had it in stock then says it will be ready in 30 minutes..we go shopping or waste time in town for 30 minutes. I stopped at the Vision Center at the Bellevue Walmart to have them adjust my glasses. It was convenient what a great thing. NOT!!!! DON'T GO THERE!!!!! Not only did they scratch off the finish on the temple of my frames in adjusting them, but they chipped the lens with the tool they used. Yes, TRUE. I couldn't believe this place was capable to damaging a pair of glasses this much, but they DID. The vision center was efficient and helpful. The price is affordable versus other places. If you ask questions in the beginning, you'll be prepared for the cost. Don't blame the vision center for your lack of responsibility.
We'll be returning at this store before Christmas to shop for some gift items. Lots of discounts and items for sale so I am excited.
