I went to pick up my low dose colchicine prescription and the pharmacy tech told me that this medication is for gout. I’m 95yo and have heart disease. I don’t have gout. He was a nice gentleman but I was upset. I gave him my business card. When I got home I was so upset asked my nurse daughter and physician son who said colchicine has been approved by the FDA for treatment of heart disease.
