I have been denied life saving medication because the insurance wouldn't agree with it. By rules of their contract they will not allow me to buy it with cash. I read on the contract that they are supposed to fill 72 hours of the prescription if the medication is required to live. Pharmacist likes to decide which medications you need and refuses to fill or makes it a complete nightmare to fill ones he doesn’t think you need even after speaking directly to your doctor about why you need it. I needed pain medication for post op and he only gave me half of my prescription even though when I talked to my doctor, my doctor said it absolutely shouldn’t be a problem as written. One star for customer service. When you try to get a real person to call you, they hang up as soon as you press 1 to speak to them vs cancel. I answer the call immediately so they're is no reason to say it took too long. They just keep hanging up on me.
