TLDR: Walmart will make up reasons to refuse to honor their treadwear warranties on tires purchased and installed through them. BUYER BEWARE!!! Went for an oil change and tire rotation. The technician would not rotate my tires, said they were too worn. The tires were purchased and installed through Walmart and have 28,000 miles on them with a 45,000 mile treadwear warranty. So many thanks to Billy in the Auto Center. I had traveled from Crossville to Lenoir City to buy a boat. The tires on the trailer were absolutely shot and would never have made it home. I just needed some help switching to a set of new wheels/tires that I had with me. The problem was that it was 20 min til close. Had the displeasure of meeting Lloyd the manager who has no social skills or the simple knowledge of how to fix a popped tire. He came in late, couldn’t even explain to me what was wrong with the tire. Kept sending a kid in between him and I to communicate. I’d expect a lot better from a walmart auto shop. Had an appointment at 10am to get tires installed on car. Arrived at 9:30 am it’s currently 2pm and I’m still here waiting. This is ridiculous why get a appointment for.
I paid for a tire rotation and premium synthetic oil change which is supposed to include several courtesy services such as washer fluid check and fill. However two days later, I found a fresh oil leak in garage and went to use my wipers and had no fluid. Now I am wondering if they even bothered to rotate my tires. This was for an appointment on 1-6-26 At 11:00 AM.
